What are viral internet videos, and which are some of the top ones on-line? A viral video is any internet video that garners widespread popularity through the process of sharing. Many viral internet videos are humorous, some are bizarre, others are completely fascinating. An internet video goes viral when something about it is so captivating to viewers that they feel compelled to share it with everyone, posting links to it on Twitter, Facebook, message boards and recommending it on sites like StumbleUpon. Sometimes a viral video will even inspire parodies and tributes which can go viral as well.
Again, your book is a tool, a calling card – and selling it isn’t about content, but marketing. The marketing of the book is more important than the book itself – so put most of your time, energy, and resources into that.
Those not so business inclined are probably hatching a plan to go get a millions hits on a video of themselves doing 1 arm push-ups in a Speedo with their Chihuahua sitting on your back wearing a bonnet all while drinking a beer (I actually made that up, so don’t steal it. I am still trying to round up a chihuahua that won’t get spooked).
You can also take Facebook security into your own hands. Of course you should keep your own virus software up-to-date and running, but also use some common sense when clicking on links that show up in your Facebook newsfeed. If the comment on the links says: “OMG U won’t believe what this grl does!” and it’s coming from your grandmother, it’s probably not legitimate.
This is not the first comic book movie that had participated in such a viral campaign, prior to the release of Zack Snyder’s “Man of Steel”, a static infested berita terkini broadcast on all TV channels of Earth, as well as in all languages, brought on the presence of Superman’s main adversary General Zod. That campaign also got audiences ready for Snyder’s release. There had even been mock spoofs of the “Your are not alone!” video as well that really brought on the hype of the film.
PR – send a press release and articles which describe your video, you can also translate your video to voice and distribute it by audio publishers on the web. Using PR messages can get you better results.
With the above tips, you should be well on your way to creating a YouTube video with impact and, hopefully, leads and sales. However, note that I’ve left out one last tip that deals with user comments: Don’t get offended when people leave poor or negative remarks about your video. Also, do not remove these negative comments from the comment area. What you want for your video is attention and discussion. Perhaps your video will stir up a few people and get you lots of attention. This is what happens to the most popular videos online; so, don’t limit yourself and the potential of your video!
