This is because a lot of car owners to not take proper precautions in preventing auto body damage. Auto body damage can be expensive and sometimes take a lot of time to repair. Once you call your insurance provider, you can ask for suggestions on where to take the car. Most providers have a list of shops that they use. You should also call the provider of the person who hit you to get a list of their shops just in case they are the ones paying for it. I don’t know about everyone else but I am what you would call a neat freak. and I couldn’t believe the disrepair and general “messiness” of these so called professional shops.

We have been searching and testing many plastic containers with push on lids which are around the size of a 50c coin. These look much bigger than the glass vials and are very easy to fill. Many plastic vials tested have leaked however we have found some that show no sign of leaking and are quite reasonably priced.

Get more than a single estimate. Take down notes of what kind of repairs you need according to the first shop you go to. Also, consider the cost of those repairs. Then try calling three or four more other shops and ask them how much they would charge for the same work that the first shop tells you about. You may talk with a variety of businesses such as chain outlets, dealerships and independent car shops.

This is just a tip of the work that goes into painting a fiberglass body but it gives you an idea of what goes on. This is why show quality paint jobs can cost anywhere from 10-20k. The amount of work that goes into them is unbelievable. The last one we did took about 750 man hours.
