Have you ever gotten on the scale and, all of a sudden, you’re 20 pounds heavier than you remember? Are you finding it hard to fit into last summer’s bikini? Did someone just post a picture of you on Facebook that made you realize you’re getting a little chubby?
Healthy lower glycemic carb foods like bananas, apples, carrots and other fruits and vegetables do not need to be eliminated from your diet to keep your blood sugar levels at an optimal level, or to better control your insulin levels. Keeping these two levels healthy will help you shed fat and maintain the body fat percentages that are best for you.
Breakfast is step one. The next step is trying to time your other meals on a relative schedule that works out best for your body’s energy levels. How often do people come home from work and end up eating dinner at nine or ten at night? These late meals don’t get digested or utilized as well by your body as earlier meals do.
The first thing to note is that to increase your weight loss, you need to boost your metabolism. One of the reasons that you are overweight is that you may have a slow metabolism. A slow metabolism burns fewer calories a day than a fast metabolism. In order to increase your metabolic rate and burn more calories and fat, you need to follow the following steps.
It’s very important that you eat a light healthy BreastFast, a light healthy lunch, and a light healthy dinner, every day (even on the weekends). And also, adding a healthy mid morning and mid afternoon snack is a great idea. It will keep you from feeling hungry and keep your body fueled. For example for your mid morning snack eat an apple and a few nuts. For your afternoon snack eat a banana and a few nuts.
Light food does not mean food with out nutritional value. Many light products contain large amounts eating breakfast of simple sugars in order to gain their lost taste. This immediately gives them calories, but is often less than fully fat products. To help achieve rapid weight loss, the best thing you can do therefore is to carefully read the food labels that state, often in detail, the content in calories, but also the vitamins and minerals they contain.
In addition to the emotional issues associated with being even a few pounds overweight, there can be physical problems as well. Yo-yo dieters run the risk of developing high blood pressure, diabetes, and even heart conditions. Beyonce recognized that the roller-coaster rides on the scale were detrimental to her health, and now she has taken a smarter approach to lose the weight – and keep it off.
On earth, it is normal to experience opposition and contrast. Yet, I know a day will come when I will leave all this behind and be taken up, once again, in the oneness of God’s infinite love and light.
